Although it covers the field of physical radiology rather completely, it would be difficult to recommend this volume to roentgenologists. The several authors who have written this book must have done so for those who have had considerable training in radiation physics. Those who are not fortunate enough to have had such training will find this book incomplete in its explanations, and rather confusing. The writers plunge directly into physics (which at best is dull reading), neglecting to elucidate the more fundamental aspects of radiology.
