The purpose of the author in presenting this volume is, according to the preface, to describe the mechanisms involved in the regulation of the secretory activity of the principal digestive organs under normal conditions and to serve as a physiological introduction to the pathology and the clinical investigation of the secretory apparatus of the alimentary tract.
