This is one of the most important publications in the field of military psychiatry to appear on the market during the second World War. It is written by two psychiatrists who were connected with the Army Air Forces overseas and later with Don Cesar Hospital, an Army Air Force convalescent hospital receiving cases of war neuroses. They therefore had a chance to study reactions before and after combat and actually to follow up some men whom they had sent home. This book is the second one of the authors; their first was a study of psychologically wounded Ground Force soldiers
