The nitrogen mustard, methyl bis (beta chloroethyl) amine (HN2), was introduced as a chemotherapeutic agent in the treatment of malignant disease in 1943 by Goodman et al.1 Since that time there have been over 50 reports in the American literature describing the immediate effects of nitrogen mustard on a variety of neoplastic processes.
