A good description of the Atlas is found in the Introduction: "An atlas of tumor pathology differs from a textbook in that it aims to give preëminently a pictorial representation of the many structural variants which characterize the many kinds of neoplasms." This fundamental principle is maintained throughout the fascicles already published. The Atlas is made up of a large number of fascicles (chapters), each published in a separate small paper-bound volume which can be grouped as desired.
