The author, who is not a dermatologist, has presented a text which is intended to be all-inclusive on the clinical and pathological features of the dermatoses. In the preface he states, "in order better to effect a conjunction between dermatologists and other practitioners of medicine the edition of this book was felt justified." Throughout the text he has made an attempt to emphasize the common features, both clinically and pathologically, of lesions of the skin and mucous membrane. It is quite obvious from the histopathologic descriptions that the author has a better knowledge of the microscopic findings of skin eruptions
