We have been able to find only two previously reported cases of concurrent idiopathic hypoparathyroidism and hypoadrenocorticalism with both clinical and autopsy confirmation.1, 2 Leifer and Hollander3 in 1953 and Papadatos and Klein4 in 1954 each reported instances of this duoglandular insufficiency, but autopsy data were not available. In two other instances of alleged hypoparathyroidism with Addison's disease,5, 6 the clinical data were incomplete and have subsequently been challenged.2, 3
