Dr. Frederic C. Bartter: For our first Clinical Pathological Conference we are presenting the case of a man who had serious disease of two systems, endocrine and cardiovascular. The pathophysiologic relationship between his two diseases, if any, is still not clear. We have asked Dr. Grant Liddle, formerly of our National Heart Institute, to discuss the endocrine disorder, and Dr. Eugene Braunwald, presently of the National Heart Institute, to discuss the cardiovascular disorder. Dr. Norman H. Bell will first present the case.
