The publications which have appeared in the series Norwegian Monographs on Medical Sciences are similar in scope and content to the better-known supplements to Acta Medica Scandinavica.
Hobaek's monograph, a recent addition to this series, is largely a presentation of the clinical, genealogical, and roentgenographic aspects of a group of chondrodysplasias as seen by him in a large group of Norwegian families. Though he has not added substantially to our understanding of these disorders, his monograph presents, in addition to the case material, some useful tabular compilations of previous case reports and a comprehensive bibliography.
