Boyd's small "Introduction" might almost be considered a supplement to his well-known Fundamentals of Immunology. It represents an edited and enlarged transcript of lectures given in Moscow three years ago, but the skillful editing has preserved some of the informality of person-to-person communication.
The initial chapters of the monograph review current concepts of antigen antibody structure and interaction. As expected, the presentation is lucid and penetrating.
