"Clinical Disorders of Iron Metabolism," the senior author of which is a frequent contributor to the literature of hematology, describes essentially 2 disorders: iron deficiency and hemachromatosis.
An interesting chapter on the history of iron in medicine opens the book, and is followed by a short review of iron metabolism. Iron deficiency states are then described in some detail but in a few instances quite inadequately.
