A series of "lessons" (in 16 separate pamphlets) on methods of graphical presentation of numerical data. The emphasis is on how to illustrate time series. There is ample discussion of equipment, lettering proportions, use of logarithmic scales, and of details of charting techniques most frequently used in commercial and economic presentations. Failure to consider the presentation of correlations, of statistical boundaries, and other charting problems more characteristic of medical and biological communication will limit the usefulness of this guide for medical investigators and illustrators.
