As a consequence of harboring the marrow, the bones can show, in a variety of changes, their reactions to diseases and disorders of blood cells. These changes can be readily detected by the radiologist and, hence, may be of great diagnostic value. Dr. Moseley has assembled the chapters, pertinent to this relation of blood and bone, which he had previously prepared as articles for the Journal of the Mount Sinai Hospital, has supplemented them with a chapter on osteopetrosis, a concluding chapter of miscellaneous comments, and an index, and has brought the whole out as this monograph.
