A review of undesirable effects of drugs, which, because it is based chiefly on papers published in 1960-1962, is more a supplement to recent textbooks of pharmacology and older reviews than a cumulative registry of toxicities.
Drugs discussed are grouped by type (analgesics, antibiotics, diuretics, and so forth). The index refers only to drug names; the lack of an index to toxicities, which makes it virtually impossible to use this book to identify what drugs might cause any particular reactions presented by the patient, such as leucopenia, rash, urticaria, and so forth, sharply restricts its value as a reference for
