This book is a revision of the author's earlier text entitled Fundamentals of Clinical Fluoroscopy. The change in title and method of presentation is an outgrowth of the author's teaching experience with interns and residents. More than a manual of fluoroscopic technique, this text encompasses the preparation and positioning of patients to demonstrate the desired area of study. An effort is also made to teach the understanding and interpretation of the fluoroscopic image—and hence, the film. The author does not recommend that the fluoroscopic examination be carried out without appropriate standard film studies, but rather in conjunction with them.
