Cell electrophoresis provides a potentially powerful tool for probing a number of diverse biological problems. This book contains 20 papers describing techniques and applications of cell electrophoresis. The papers are divided into 8 sections dealing with general methods, blood cells, normal and neoplastic tissue cells, viruses and antibodies, sperms, bacterial and plant cells, isolated cell particles, and the structure of cell surfaces. The characterization of isolated cells and the correlation of their physical properties with their biological behavior has important applications to fundamental biology and to clinical medicine. Highly recommended for those interested in this exciting scientific frontier.
