Although the association of hyperparathyroidism and acute pancreatitis has been described in a number of cases (1-3), the occurrence of intravascular clotting in hyperparathyroidism has not been appreciated in recent years. The purpose of this case report is to describe a case of hypercalcemic crisis and its management and to call attention to the problem of intravascular clotting in hyperparathyroidism.
