Dr. Davey's doctoral thesis is published simultaneously as Bibliotheca Haematologica, Fasc. 22, and as a "paperback," which deals with the study of platelet physiology using the radioactive radiochromium (51Cr) labeling procedure. Although the first sentence and the last sentence of the book are in French, the remainder is in English. Fortunately, failure to understand these two sentences will not detract greatly from understanding the rest of the material.
