Peptic ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract is one of the diseases that conveniently lends itself to correlation of basic and clinical science. Dr. Sun has exploited this fact in masterful fashion. In clear and concise prose, confusing terminology and complex concepts of gastric function are made both lucid and relevant to clinical problems.
