To the Editor: An erroneous quotation by J. G. Guckian and J. E. Perry in "Granulomatous Hepatitis" (Ann. Intern. Med. 65: 1081, 1966) deserves correction. They state:
Israel and associates . . . reported 22 patients with histoplasmosis who were originally thought to have sarcoidosis. Only four had a positive skin test, and none had positive Histoplasma complement-fixation tests or positive culture. The diagnoses were made by the identification of the organisms in tissues.
