Forty papers presented at a symposium held in November 1965. Most of these are devoted to devices and methods for application to surgery and to laboratory investigation, but some will be of interest to physicians who wish to keep in touch with developments that are beginning to be applied widely to medical problems in clinic and hospital practice: dialyzers; hyperbaric oxygenation; computer analysis of pulmonary function tests, electrocardiograms, and phonocardiograms; echocardiography; pacemakers, clinical telemetry; fiberoptiscopes; electromyography; and thermography.
Most of the papers are discussions quite detailed for this format; a few are cursory.
