The editor forewarns the reader that this is not a systematic treatise. Its 17 articles deal with selected topics, and only 2 of them are primarily clinical. Diabetes mellitus, acromegaly, and hyperparathyroidism receive virtually no consideration. The authors are past or present associates of Prof. Asboe-Hansen, and most of them have handled their assignments well. The chapters on exophthalmos are particularly useful, and R.
