A series of monographs entitled "Medicinal Chemistry" under the general editorship of George DeStevens has been published since 1963. The present volume is concerned with antihypertensive agents. The book fulfills a need, for here, in one place, concise information is provided about the current pharmacopeia of hypotensive compounds. The authors and editor make no pretense of presenting the clinical virtues of the various drugs and the indications for their use, but discuss them primarily from the chemical and pharmacological point of view.
