Thirty-four papers first presented at a conference held in March 1967 under sponsorship of Johnson and Johnson Institute for Pediatric Service. The emphasis is on "amino acid metabolism" rather than "genetic variation," and two thirds of the papers are basic and clinical considerations of amino acid biochemistry and metabolism in those disorders involving phenylalanine, tyrosine, histidine, branched-chain amino acids, lysine, ornithine, glycine, homocystine, cystathionine, cystine, and related compounds.
