To condense diagnostic features of surgically correctable cardiac lesions into an 83-page book is a difficult task. The author of this monograph has accomplished this by concentrating on the clinical aspects of cardiac lesions and by emphasizing the pertinent clues to bedside diagnosis without going into the detail of pathophysiology of management. The section on congenital heart disease is well-written, and diagnostic points that are often ignored by those who depend greatly on catheterization data are outlined. The diagrams are easy to understand, and after review of this chapter, the differential diagnosis of cyanotic congenital heart lesions becomes simpler. Indications
