Physicians who are responsible for the training of paramedical personnel in the theory and practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation may now have a helpful text for their students. Drs. Caccamo, Kessler, and Azneer have organized a programmed course that is designed to be a study guide for trainees. Their short, paperback volume deals with the practical aspects of resuscitation, a "how-to-do-it" approach, supplemented with just enough elementary theory to make the actions performed during the resuscitative procedure seem logical. This course is proposed to complement, not replace, other more complete methods of instruction. I suspect that it will prove useful.
