The Board of Regents strongly supports the warning of the Surgeon General of the Public Health Service on the danger of the use of tobacco and urges all members of the American College of Physicians and all other physicians to participate in educational efforts to diminish the use of tobacco; further, the Board of Regents recommends to the tobacco industry and to the Congress that cigarette advertising be banned on television.
