"Toxomycosis" of paprika slicers is an illness related to slicing moldy paprika. Clouds of spores are expelled into the air during the processing of diseased paprika, leading to a pernicious cough and systemic symptoms. The concept of toxomycosis is the central theme of this book and is used to group together many occupational diseases.
