This new fascicle in the Atlas of Tumor Pathology describes and illustrates not only neoplasms of the region it covers but also benign, nonneoplastic lesions, such as amyloidosis of the tongue and torus palatinus, that can be confused with neoplasms. Its scope is wide as reflected by the inclusion of Burkitt's lymphoma and the Peutz-Jeghers syndrome. Illustrations of the gross and microscopic features both in color and black and white are excellent. The relatively brief text is supplemented by ample bibliographies.
Important publication for pathologists and specialists in oral medicine; useful for teaching in physical diagnosis.
