Dr. Meyler continues his chronicle of iatrogenic illness and the growing body of data on unwanted effects of drugs. The series on "Side Effects of Drugs" has been a compilation of reports describing untoward results of therapy.
In this present publication there is an attempt to present pathophysiology and general principles of clinical toxicology. The latter are represented by Dr. Meyler's classification of drug reactions, a discussion of drugs in relation to traffic safety, and consideration of special hazards in the elderly.
