Again a very useful survey of harmful effects of drugs and other therapies; a chapter on diagnostic methods has been added. Because of the need of the authors to cover very large numbers of bibliographic citations, the text often reads more like a catalog than sequential discussion, but this quality does not lessen the value of Dr. Moser's book for practical reference. His preface to this edition contains some good advice to the clinician on how to keep informed of undesirable drug effects in the cacophony of current medical literature.
Recommended for the physician's bookshelf and the hospital library.
