The 24 papers and discussions from this symposium (Dr. James F. Toole, member of the ANNALS Editorial Board, served as Chairman) are grouped according to seven main topics: finding the stroke-prone person; fluid dynamics in circulation; respiratory control and cerebral circulation; primary intracerebral hemorrhage; diagnostic aids; dementia; and surgery for occlusive vascular disease. Emphasis is on current research but there is enough information and opinion here on clinical problems and methods to justify placing this "Sixth Conference" in hospital libraries.
