The reviewer of the first edition noted that the authors were not lacking in the quality of complete confidence so important for a hypnotist, and this third edition continues to demonstrate that same calm assurance. In a way the quality of confidence still constitutes the book's main asset, as the authors survey the entire gamut of medical disorders and prescribe hypnosis almost everywhere. This is done in such a clear, simple, and straightforward way that one can read the entire book, or a single chapter, and gain some idea of how to use hypnosis.
