This monograph is a complete and well-organized survey of contemporary knowledge of microbial ribonucleases by workers who have made major contributions to this field. Areas covered include the classification of enzymes attacking RNA and the distribution, chemical studies, and physiological role of microbial RNases. This monograph only has appeal for the biochemist or other research worker, but considering the ubiquitous nature of these enzymes in biological systems and their useful specific properties, investigators in a wide variety of fields will find it a useful reference.
