A short survey of uses of electrical recording, transducers (optical, thermal, baric), radiation detectors, and newer chemical methods in medical diagnosis and research. Discussions of purely medical aspects are at such an elementary level that one must conclude that this book was written for engineers rather than medical students. Not an adequate text for personal, hospital, or medical school libraries.
