Sixty-nine papers, representing the edited proceedings of a symposium held in Lausanne, Switzerland, in September 1967. All of the papers are in English. The major topics covered are the excretion of urea, uric acid, and ammonia; experimental and clinical uremia, and their pathology; toxic disorders of the kidney; drugs affecting the excretion of sodium; renin, angiotensin, and aldosterone; and urinary concentration and dilution. Some of the papers review their subjects very well and should be useful to clinical readers; many of the papers are investigative reports of narrow importance, and they reduce the value of this collection as a whole
