Clarity of presentation and concise description mark this monograph. Clinical recognition, pertinent embryology, surgical anatomy, and the fundamental surgical approach are presented for the patent ductus, atrial and ventricular defects, Fallot's tetrology, and pulmonic stenosis. This is practical information in an enjoyable format. In an era when many medical house officers and cardiovascular trainees have limited contact with surgical procedures and technique this is a valuable initial text.
