Immediate evidence of strong and thoughtful planning is presented in the first chapter of this third volume in the Contemporary Neurology Series. The editor himself discusses some important ways to achieve a successful neurologic interview, that is, how to get a good history. His advice is simply and clearly given. Plaudits belong to the physician who reminds us that family, relatives, and other informants are not to be avoided but are to be questioned.
