Forty-three papers presented by authorities at the International Convocation on Immunology, Buffalo, New York, June 17 to 19, 1968, held in honor of Ernest Witebsky (1901-1969); these offer a broad view of current, important topics in chemistry and biology of cellular antigens, development and control of the immune process, blood group and transplantation antigens, autoimmunity mechanisms, tissue specificity in autoimmunity, and tumor-specific antigens. Some attention to clinical problems but chiefly concerned with investigative developments. A short biographical note on Dr. Witebsky is followed by his bibliography. References, no index.
