To the editor: In their article entitled "An Improved Method of Digitoxin Therapy" (Ann Intern Med 72: 453-464, 1970), Jelliffe and co-workers stated under Dosage Forms of Digitoxin (p. 461): "Current tablets of digitoxin are restricted to 0.1, 0.15, and 0.2 mg." Actually, digitoxin tablets, U.S.P., have also been available since 1948 in the strength of 0.05 mg. (Tablets Crystodigin®, No. 1736). Furthermore, these tablets are scored so that they can be readily broken into halves.
