To the editor: I read with interest the report of concurrent acute myelocytic leukemia and infectious mononucleosis (1). We have reported a similar case of concurrent acute lymphocytic leukemia and infectious mononucleosis and documented the seroconversion to Epstein-Barr (EB) virus by immunofluorescence (2). As a result of experience with this case and a similar case that came to our attention, my associates and I initiated a study of the concurrence of these two diseases (3).
