In recent years several new, comprehensive textbooks of neurology have been published. The author of this book has chosen to emphasize the broad, unselected practice of neurology that is encountered in the patient's home and in the nonspecialist hospital.
The book consists of two volumes divided into three parts, entitled "Symptoms," "Physical Signs," and "Diseases." In the first part the main causes of symptoms such as attacks of loss of consciousness, pain, disorders of special senses, weakness, and abnormalities of sensation are discussed.
