A comprehensive, detailed textbook on prescription filling, dosage forms design and types, formulation problems including therapeutic incompatibilities, prescription accessories (utensils, contraceptives, dressings, and so forth), the hospital pharmacy, and radiopharmaceuticals.
Obviously intended for teaching in pharmacy practices but useful to the physician who serves on his hospital's drug committee and needs an account of what a pharmacy does and how.
The section on prescription accessories can offer the student or house officer much very useful, practical instruction in proper use of devices such as humidifiers, inhalation therapy devices, diaphragms, and catheters.
Recommended for libraries of medical schools and large hospitals.
