This fourteenth volume of a series that began in 1939 continues to bring penetrating reviews by outstanding investigators in currently active fields of immunology. It would be fair to indicate, however, to those who might anticipate that a series so-titled would deal with problems of clinical allergy, that three of the five incisive reviews contained in this volume are concerned with phases of laboratory immunological research.
