During the past 3 years over 30,000 patients have been examined with the assistance of an automated medical history questionnaire at the Lahey Clinic Foundation in Boston. This is believed to be the largest experience to date in which the automated medical history (AMH) has been an integral part of the physician's own examination of the patient rather than an addendum to it.
