Concise descriptions of the pharmacological actions, therapeutic uses, contraindications, and side effects of drugs in use in Great Britain, gathered in 16 chapters. Useful for a very quick review but hardly a substitute for the recently released AMA Drug Evaluations. Its use in the United States will be further limited by the British generic names that differ from American usage and by the predominance of British and Continental references in the short bibliographies. May be satisfactory for many Commonwealth physicians.
