To the editor: I have reviewed the results of my Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program II, but I would like to differ with the Test Committee on Cardiovascular Disease in the answers to the following two questions.
Question 491 obviously refers to the billowing posterior leaflet of the mitral valve, that is, answer D, not your "correct" answer, E, which is myocardial infarction with papillary muscle dysfunction. Both your bibliography and my writings (Amer J Med 47:924, 1969; Circulation 42:111-143, 1970; Amer Heart J 80:716, 1970; Medical Times 99:127, 1971) make it abundantly clear what the correct answer is.
