To the editor: Schriebman, Goransky De Koliren, and Arky (Ann Intern Med 74:399-403, 1971) reported on a patient with metastatic insulinoma who had been treated with streptozotocin. The authors suggested that streptozotocin might be of value in benign functioning tumors where surgery has failed to control the disease.
