To the editor: In the paper, "Rheumatoid Arthritis Associated with Eosinophilia," by Panush, Franco, and Schur (Ann Intern Med 75:199-205, 1971), on page 201, lines 19 and 20, the text reads:
Serum IgG levels were not elevated in the five patients with rheumatoid arthritis and eosinophilia.
The statement should have been:
Serum IgE levels were not elevated in the five patients with rheumatoid arthritis and eosinophilia.
We thank Dr. Tushar K. Sinha of the Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana, for calling this error to our attention.
