Although there is a need for detailed, accurate, and well-documented information on the ocular toxicity of drugs, this book does not meet these requirements. The pharmacological terminology is vague and confusing—for example, "intestinal sedative" and "cardiotonic detoxicant." Worse is the fact that the same drug and dose are listed as "contraindicated in glaucoma" when supplied by Dista Products Ltd. but carry only the proviso "use cautiously in patients with glaucoma" when supplied by Lilly Ltd.
There is not one reference to the literature in the book. There is no evidence that the text is an authoritative statement on the ocular
